What a great photo! I heard a piece this week on the StarDate radio program about last week's huge moon. I didn't realize that it's called the Harvest Moon since it provides farmers with much needed additional light during fall harvest especially in more northern locations. It was a great little piece. When I got home from work, I looked up and was wowed by it's brilliance.
btw...I'm tagging you. I hope that is okay. Only do it you'd like. I was tagged by my friend at Okie Okasan. She's got a great blog. My tidbits are here.
annie: Thank you, Annie, I'm glad you came to see it. :) Were you seeing the moon in the morning sky? I think that is one of the most interesting things--we are so conditioned to have everything in its place: sun in the morning and the moon at night.
small glimpses: Thank you very much. :) We have a couple windows where the full moon shines right into the rooms. The harvest moon is amazing, isn't it?
Hmm, a tag. Thanks for thinking of me. I will say that I *may* be able to do it, if I can invent a form in which to write it. An intriguing idea. But, with my recent history and current schedule, I have to say it will be at least a week before that can happen. :)
That's a cool shot. The Moon reflecting on the canal is one of my joys. I feel the magic, the gravity pull... you get some of that lovely luna mystery pull in the photo - something I never manage to do.
david: I love your description. The moon really is irresistible, isn't it? Do you have the type of view to get photos of the moon reflected? That would be my mission.
Welcome! I have returned yet again, you lucky things. Now, with more singing and dancing than ever! You there, on the Profile page, go on, go to the bottom of the page and click. Enjoy!
A little more information: We have been located in Okieland for about 14--eekyears. It's hard to believe it's been that long. We relocated from points north. I live in boy-land with 3 sons and my first husband. I'm still learning their language.
